I do what I do because I believe in challenging the status quo of health and healthcare. We all deserve to create the life we want with the health we need – and I know that without our health, we have nothing.
I believe in dreaming big, working hard and pursuing passion. To find true health, you need to too. When you combine ambition with self-worth, you recognize what health truly means and you can make it manifest. Your health and wellbeing is in your hands.
I am interested in providing you with empowered healthcare that allows you to understand your health, so you can then change it. I believe everyone can feel better, but those who stay better are dedicated to maintaining a foundation of health though nutritional density, emotional boundaries and physical activity.
I believe in making lasting change in our health so we can make lasting change in our lives, and the lives of others. I want to live a vibrant and vital life – join me!
Becoming a doctor was not always a part of my “When I grow up, I want to be…” story. I am a graduate of Trent University, where I completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science. This program allowed me to develop critical thinking skills and practice putting pieces of a puzzle together as a part of a bigger picture. There, I found my interest and passion for medicine – and eventually found the world of naturopathic medicine. My path to becoming a naturopathic doctor certainly wasn’t straight forward – yet, I am now incredibly grateful to have found an exciting career that embraces who I am and a more intimate, comprehensive approach to healthcare.
Why naturopathic medicine?
I chose to pursue a career in naturopathic medicine so that I could connect with patients in a personal and positive way. I am a graduate of the accredited 4 year program of naturopathic medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.
I practice naturopathic medicine because it allows me to engage patients in education about their health to find solutions that are both effective and attainable. Naturopathic medicine works to resolve the underlying cause of health concerns, not just cover them up. I believe naturopathic medicine represents a future of healthcare that is sustainable, solution-based and the key to optimal health and wellness.
Who and what do I treat?
I treat people, not disease. In my experience, most health concerns stem from nutritional deficiencies and chronic stress. When these are corrected and supported, the body has an inherent ability to return to a more vibrant and vital state.
And just for fun…
I also love to eat good food, get outside and travel the world! I may have an addiction to kale. My recipe for health is just like the Life is Good motto – “Do what you love, and love what you do!”. I’m happy to call Uxbridge my home and live there with my incredibly supportive husband.
